Drawing on Extensive Experience
The jurisdiction and venue of the court when planning a defense. I draw on my extenseive experience representing clients at trial or on appeal in courts at all levels -- City Court, Justice Court, Superior Court, and Federal Court. Representation in Federal Court is a specialty.
Communication Dynamics
In addition, I consider the personalities involved - the opposition lawyers, their experts and witnesses, and the judge.
Strategizing is Key
From the beginning of a case - whether civil or criminal, I conceptualize a strategy that attempts to account for various tactics the opposition may use. I have long experience in putting together such teams with excellent results.
The "Big Picture"
I always keep my eye on what a trial will look like - ultimately what evidence will be admissible under the rules and law, and which witnesses will best advance your case.
